Book cover branding
for profesionals.

For Berghauser Pont I was commissioned to develop a corporate identity for covers of different types of professional textbooks; Practice book, Text&Explanation, Handbook and Textbook.

The design fundamentals:

It had to be clear on the book cover to which subject the book belonged to (subjects such as: environmental law, environment, privacy, etc.). Therefore I developed a system where the colours had to identify as a subject. These colours appear in the line next to the text, which continues on the cover and in the text. Also these fundamentals needed to be applied:

  • There should be no photos on the cover, preferably everything in illustration.

  • The 4 themes had to resemble each other in terms of corporate identity, but also be clearly different from each other.
